Rantings and gibberish on the places I visited during my year out:

Middle East - An overland trip from Cairo to Istanbul, taking in Egypt, Jordan, Syria and Turkey;

Africa - 45 day long overland trip travelling from Kenya to Cape Town, taking in Tanzania, Malawi, Zambia, Botswana, Namibia, South Africa and 1 day in Zimbabwe if I can count that!

Asia - An Intrepid Travel trip; "Mountains and Monasteries" which goes from Beijing to Kathmandu, taking in Tibet and Everest Base Camp.

The Annapurna circuit in Nepal - a 220km long trek around the worlds highest mountain range.

A month long loop around Indochina taking in Thailand, Laos, Vietnam and Cambodia.

South America: Most of Argentina, a 3 week tour around Patagonia and a spell learning Spanish in Buenos Aires.

Antarctica: An 11 day cruise on board the "Antarctic Dream" along the Antarctic Peninsula.
