NWSA Navigation Course aboard the Mystic Whaler

Again this year the National Women's Sailing Association offered a navigation workshop aboard the tall ship Mystic Whaler. I was privileged to be aboard this year, along with over a dozen incredible women of varying backgrounds and sailing experience -- but all whom demonstrated a love of adventure and camaraderie. What a great group! Since our trip coincided with a tropical storm's path up the eastern seaboard, the weather on day 1 was all over the place, from fog to light drizzle to pouring rain overnight. But thanks to the efforts of Captain John and his wonderful crew, we still enjoyed a safe and thoroughly enjoyable voyage, and our second day at sea was a stunningly beautiful day of sunny skies and fresh breezes. This is sailing!
