I have a list of things to do before I am too old to do them. One was to be at the Taj Mahal on Christmas day ~ wrapped in a fortnights discovery of Delhi, Agra and Jaipur ~ very worth while!

Arriving in New Delhi, clutching the Lonely Planet Guide, with just a backpack and the promise of a pick up and a cup of tea, what more could I ask for? My only 'mission' during the fortnight was to be at the Taj Mahal in Agra on Christmas day, otherwise I was free to do as I chose. I intend to give credible ratings to deserving accommodation where I stayed in the hope it helps others. Namely the Master Guest House in Delhi (Karol Bagh area), the Sheela Hotel in Agra, The Jaipur Ashok Hotel in Jaipur and The Alka Hotel in Connought Place, New Delhi. During my all too short holiday I enjoyed some very chilly early morning starts, wonderful sunny day trips out and much needed early nights in preparation for the following day.
