On the Gringo trail and beyond: Screw the Northern BC winter, we're heading south.
About this blog
We are two Canadians travelling Spanish South America. Our objective is to start in Venezuela, work our way south on the west side of the Andes to Tierra del Fuego and return north by following the Brazilian border to Bolivia. While learning Spanglish is a major goal, we are also aiming, as biologists, to visit as many ecosystems as possible. Pierre-Paul will chase as many birds as he can (with the hope of adding daily improvements to his life list); Cory will try to keep him from getting lost and from forgetting that there are other great things in life worth exploring. Not so much the touristy types, we will avoid spending our time in the most popular spots without neglecting the obvious treasures this continent has to offer. Saludos!
