About this blog
MAYBE it was Louis de Berneiere who planted the seed in my head, but I've wanted to go to South America for ten years now. The seed grew and it grew until one day I said it was 2009 or never. It's cost about £4,000 to put my perfect trip together. And I can't blooming wait.... My journey will launch me from London Heathrow to two weeks in Buenos Aires, the first week in a hostel followed by a one week home stay as I attempt to learn Spanish. Then I will jet down to Ushuaia (the Southern most city in the world!) and behind my tour through Patagonia (taking in the penguins), going up through Chile landing in Santiago, before busing it up to Lima in Peru before beginning a 45-day trek across Peru, Bolivia, and Brazil mustering my way to Rio
