Travels in Chanel - Maine 2012
About this blog
We purchased a 10 year old Forrest River "Flagstaff" pop up camper off of Craigslist in April of this year. Will and one of our good friends, Thornton, promptly starting searching for a meaningful name for our new travel home. They sarcastically settled on CHANEL, which has its roots in an old SNL skit, but her name has (mostly) only sweetened our "We bought a pop-up." story. She was christened soon after we purchased her in the neighborhood cul-de-sac with a cold bottle of Trader Joe's finest Prosecco. We have only traveled in our "new-used" pop up camper twice since we bought her, and only one time with our children, ages 4 and 7. On June 30th we set off on a 2 week journey. It will take us 3 days to drive to Maine, where we will stop to vacation with family for 5 days (in a house), and then we will take a week to camp our way home to Atlanta through Vermont, New York and Pennsylvania.
