This logs my journey to a remote artists' retreat in Montagne Noir (the Black Mountains) in the little visited Languedoc region of Southern France. The trip starts in Paris, then on to Toulouse, Carcassonne, and on up into the hills to Labastide Esparbairenque where I will find out who I will be spending the next three weeks living with under an eight-hour-a-day vow of silence...
