Saturday, October 1, 2011 marks the 9th anniversary of the day our son Andy passed away. On this day I will not be sad, but instead I will celebrate Andy's life as I begin an 8 day, 600 mile journey by bicycle with the eleven other 2011 Lone Star Cirlce of Life Team members. . Together we will pedel approximately 600 miles in Texas to various events with our kick-off in Beaumont, TX on October 1. From there we will go to Galveston, College Station, Schulenberg, San Antonio, San Marcos, Georgetown, Waco, Dallas and finally Tyler, TX for the Finale. . We will ride as a team to raise awareness of the need for donations of blood, platelets, organs & tissue and bone marrow. . Follow along and I'll try to keep you up to date on what bicyclist like and don't like about the weather, our events, those we ride in honor of and in memory of and a little about their personal stories. .
