I traveled to Haiti in March 2010 with the R.E.A.C.H organization in order to build the foundations for a girls home at the Pwoje Espwa orphanage in Les Cayes, Haiti. Not only did I get practical construction experience but also a new outlook on life courtesy of the wonderful, beautiful Haitian people. This trip was planned in September, four months before the earthquake. I will never forget this experience, and probably never fully grasp the impact it will have one the rest of my life.
