Cycle from Calais, thru France into Germany to join the Danube (Donau) River, and cycle it through to Turkey.

Hi, and welcome to my travel pod site! Why this route? I was going to motorcycle Oz, but that seemed like something I could do when the knee gave up on me...so I looked for a great cycle route. Some friends had done the Donau and raved about it, so this trail had been at the back of my mind for years. So now is the chance. The Danube cycle way is mostly off road on dedicated cycle paths, and the Danube itself passes through eight countries. That is a lot of new experiences, and 2500-3000 km to get really fit on!
