After a tiring hike through rhododendron meadows 2 miles above sea-level, I stood at the end of the ridge. We had reached the highest point on the trek. The enormous peaks of Manaslu, Peak 29, and Himal Chuli, surrounded us towering another 2 miles above.

This was why I signed up for the challenge, and committed to raise at least 2500 for Whizz-Kidz, and it is hard not to be over-awed by the sheer scale and majesty of these mountains. It is easy to see why people believe them to be the home of the gods.
