About this blog
Though I don't have digital pictures for this long journey and the new life I discovered and adopted while overseas, one day I'll scan the hundreds I took and post some of them here. This was a life-changing experience which I'm very proud to have under my belt. I had three months of training followed by two years of service in Vado Ancho, El Paraíso in southern Honduras. Vado Ancho is the smallest and second-poorest municipality of Honduras, lying at the end of a dirt road about 30 miles from the Nicaraguan border. There are too many stories to tell here, but perhaps one day I will expound on the tales of an American submerged in an impoverished Central American pueblo for two life-altering years...
