About this blog

After many attempts and three editions of the Lonely Planet guide, I finally made it to Bali! It is definitely Asia Light, but still fun and charming-- mostly due to the locals and their wonderful smiles-- and is a great place to relax, try out a spa, and still not be bored silly locked away in a chain- resort. In fact, the villages and mountains offer much that remains exotic! (SORRY, these photos were shot on slide and then scanned--I am afraid the scanner's cropping got a little overzealous at times.)
