Our honeymoon in Tanzania in 2004 planted the travel bug in both of us. No sooner did we return than we had a savings account opened for our far-off dream of taking a year off the travel the world. Now here we are, four and a half years later, scrambling to make the final arrangements to erase ourselves from the country for one full year. This year, we will both turn 30, and celebrate our 5 year wedding anniversary while experiencing the world with nothing but each other and a small backpack.

We are planning a mixture of volunteer work, both veterinary and engineering, and adventure travel. We will see Central and South America, Africa, Egypt, India, and Southeast Asia. Check out this site regularly and keep in touch!
