As part of the Lutheran Volunteer Corps, I am spending a year in Chicago working as the assistant to the principal at Holy Family Lutheran School, a K-8 school for inner city, low income kids founded by a Lutheran church. I am living in an apartment on the North Side with four other girls. The three core values of LVC are working for peace with justice, building community, and living simply and sustainably. In my spare time, I plan to go to a lot of museums and ride the L as much as possible.
