I am shortly off to start my very first travel experience. Having never moved away for Uni (or even been to Uni for that matter) and never leaving my home town, I thought at the age of 27, I really should start to see that there is more to this world than London.

I booked the trips in November 2010 and after a very long wait, I am only 3 weeks away (as of 22.06.11) I'm getting a little nervous, excited, overwhelmed.....

I have booked onto the Indochina Discovery Tour with STA Travel / Gap Adventures. This is a 30 day tour that takes me on a whistle stop tour of Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos and Thailand. I then switch the fast paced travel for a more leisurely week hopping between 3 Thai islands.

My kit list is almost complete, my daily money planner is calculated down to the penny (that's just me), and I'm raring to go.

Before my bag is even packed, I'm already planning for my next trip. These 6 weeks will pale in comparision to the 18 months world wide trip I wish to embark on next year. All things in their own good time.

Anyway, I wanted to make sure I noted down my experiences and hope to add to this blog for weeks, months and years to come.
