My Mom and I travelled through Costa Rica on a Caravan Tours 10 day package. There was a lot of travel by bus, boat, and foot. We saw both the Caribbean coast and Pacific coast, as well as briefly setting foot in Nicaragua. There were too many birds to list. We saw iguanas, caymans, and crocodiles. There were various monkeys (spider, howler and white face). Numerous crazy size bugs and insects. We were deep in the jungle, walking through rain forests, zip lining through the canopy and taking an aerial tram in the rain forest. There were hanging bridges, volcanoes, hot springs. We stopped at plantations for bananas, pineapple, and coffee. The food was top notch and the tour guide and driver made us feel like locals. Pura Vida!
