This is our 2006 trip to Egypt and Greece. The objective was to get Lynn into Africa (finally) and to Athens (finally!!!). I wanted to see the pyramids and Luxor and Knossos on Crete (even more). So this is sort of a childhood dream type trip....going to places you only dreamed about in your history and geography classes in high school. The Minoan site completes my goal of visiting one of the cultural sites I most admire.....unfortunately, I'm not looking forward to the desecrations inflicted on Knossos by Evans. This stuff all comes from my freshman college art history text.....which I have referred to throughout my life....it really pays to keep those books!
