About this blog

We have decided to take a back roads tour of the Eastern mountains and the Northern seacoast. We will take mostly federal highways through the Finger Lakes and the Adirondaks. After ferrying across Lake Champlain, we will cling to the seacoast roads from Bar Harbor, Maine to Newport, Rhode Island, with stops in Kennebunkport, Old Mystic Seaport, Boston, and Provincetown. Our return will be across Pennsylvania via Rte 6 to see the fall color in the Allegheny Mountains.
