In my Easter bonnet, with all the frills upon it, I'll be the grandest lady in the Easter Parade. On the Avenue, Fifth Avenue, I'll take Manhattan in my new hat from Sears. Yes, I can make it there!
About this blog
Sometimes you need to do something different. You know, when you have a really bad year and everything goes kaput, all your well-laid and even your half-assed plans. And getting older! The other day I had to call maintenance to change a light bulb -- I couldn't keep my balance well enough to unscrew the glass globe over my head.
So what did I do? I went to Sears and bought a hat, drove to New York City, and marched in the Easter Parade. I marched with the sweet little girls prissing in their flowery bonnets and the drag queens flashing smiles for the cameras.
I marched to the bells of St Thomas past the doors of St Pats. I rode a carriage in Central Park and ate corned beef at Carnegie Deli. Oh yes, I can make it there, and anywhere.
