Cruising to Alaska Aboard the Sea Princess

Ten days aboard the Sea Princess with our granddaughter all to ourselves. What a wonderful experience for us and hopefully it was a great adventure for her.

We departed at 4:00 pm on the Sea Princess from pier 35 in San Francisco. The pier was just down the street from "tourist row" at Pier 39 and with a view of Alcatraz Island, the Bay Bridge, Coit Tower, and the Trans America Pyramid. It was cold and foggy.

We had two days traveling at sea, a short 5 hours in Juneau, Alaska, a morning and afternoon in Skagway, a day cruising Glacier Bay, an afternoon in Ketchikan, a day at sea, a short day in Victoria and another day at sea before arriving to San Francisco at 7:00 am on the 31st.

The definite highlight of the cruise was sailing Glacier Bay.
