So this was my first solo trip and it was a whole lot of awesomeness. Budapest is gorgeous (even though it was freezing and rainy most of the time---don't go in December). There's so much to see on both the Buda and Pest side and of course there's the hot turkish baths....lil on the sketchy side but you gotta love a culture that encourages groups of old, saggy bodies to soak in hot water all day.
This was a great place to couchsurf too (www.couchsurfing.com)- I met a ton of cool people and stayed at a chick's apartment for free. Can't beat FREE when you're a poor traveler!
