Springtime in Istanbul

First and foremost - three days simply aren't enough to see Istanbul! The place is gigantic so our trip was limited to the historic parts of town - strictly speaking old Constantinople - apart from the mandatory Bosporus boat trip of course... Shame really, this meant that we concentrated on visiting areas of town which - what it felt like - had the highest number of carpet-salesman in the galaxy. A bit of a bore if you don't want to by a carpet... The Byzantine and Ottoman historical sites were all jaw-droppingly amazing and we ate are way through a serious amount of great traditional Turkish dishes (Halva is my new personal favourite over Baklava and Turkish delight).
