We went up to Alice Springs from Adelaide on the Ghan - very uncomfortable, but lovely to see the sun rise over the desert. We stayed with Bill's family at Arayonga, an aborigional community about 3 hrs from Alice Springs where Bill's mum works as a nurse. Did all the touristy things: Kings Canyon, Uluru, etc. Loved it. The contrast between Bill's home and Beck's home is crazy. We came back on the bus, stopping in Coober Pedy.
