North by North Dakota

No longer working at University of Phoenix, I had some much-needed time on my hands. With a little more than one year remaining to achieve my goal of visiting all 50 states by the end of 2012, I figured now would be the opportune time to cross another one off the list. I imagined North Dakota to be nothing but boring prairies and flatlands, and I could not find any real convincing literature on what to do do while there. Armed with nothing but a tent and a few bucks, I hit the road with low expectations. I would later realize that having low expectations would turn out to make one hell of a trip.
