The idea of visiting Kampong Tanjung Kala was conceived from a chat I had with Hazreen on Yahoo Messenger on Jan 4, 2011. Hazreen, the youngest of 3 girls and 4 boys, lives in this sleepy village in an oil palm estate with his parents and a sister, Tanjung Kala is an unknown village, hardly mentioned on the internet nor can be spotted on Google map. It is 25 km north of the Kuala Krai, off highway 8.

I begin this journal in Singapore where I have bought return tickets from the KTM (Malaysian Railways) station in Tanjong Pagar, Singapore.
