Romania bound: My experiences in an orphanage

In the summer of 2003 I traveled to Romania where I spent the month of July volunteering in an orphanage. Many have seen these orphanages on the news and are wary when I tell them of my plans. "Why would you want to go there?" they ask. The only response I can think to give them is "Why not?"
