Pueblo Missions inhabited between 1300-1670. Now, they stand in peaceful and remote parts of New Mexico filled with the voices of the birds and wind.

I highly recommend this site if you are anywhere in the vicinity. Its about a two-three hour drive south from Albuquerque. The sites are about 50 miles apart from one another. There are 4 sites altogether, but we only had time to visit 3 before the park closes. All four sites are part of the national park system and hold regular park hours (I believe 8-5 daily). The restrooms are clean, and the Abo site has a special archeological learning site for kids. Also at Abo, the building is energy efficient, with solar power to provide the electricity.
