Despite our username (Travelpod will not let you change it or have more than one account), on this trip it'll only be me (Ali). I could be classed as crazy for going on my own, or just darn adventurous (I prefer the latter description!!;)) I'll be revisiting some of the places that Matt and I visited 5 years ago - time flies - and exploring some new countries.

I'd like to apologise in advance for the bad spelling and grammar! But, let me give you some ideas as to why it will not be perfect:

From past experience I can tell you that a pod is usually written in an expensive internet cafe; most of the locals in that internet cafe will be more interested in watching what you're typing than what's on their own screen; this is probably your third attempt at writing the pod, previously the computer crashed/electricity went each time; it's scorching hot and there is a random mosquito buzzing around your face; it takes forever to upload pics; you may not get online for another week and have so many emails etc that you want to send; the keyboard is not in English, hence the symbols and weird letters that you hope your readers can decipher. :)

When we were planning our "big trip" we had originally wanted to travel from Cairo to the the Cape; for one reason or another we actually flew to Kampala and started our trip there, albeit visiting both Cairo and the Cape! This time, my last "big" holiday before the graduation that is already 10 years late, I want to fill in the gaps. I'll be revisiting Kenya, Uganda and Egypt, but will be exploring Sudan, Ethiopia and Rwanda. Exciting!!
