About this blog

Who are Laura & Paul? And why are their names in the title of our blog instead of ours?

Well, Laura & Paul are two of our closest friends, and they are also our most well-travelled friends. If L&P (same initials as Lonely Planet....coincidence?!) haven't been somewhere then you can bet they're planning to go for their next holiday.

They have been to some very amazing parts of the world and we are constantly being inspired by (and made jealous of) their adventures. They have also been very supportive of us planning our own adventure. We thought it was about time we made Laura & Paul jealous for a change. (We're not competitive at all...!)

So, we quit our jobs....that's right, no more work for a while and booked a one way ticket to Cape Town. Starting on September 28th 2010 our plan was to travel overland to Ethiopia and get to Abu Dhabi by February for a significant birthday of a family member.....well we made it and now we must get to Italy by April......who knows where after that....?
