Laura and I had invited our friends, Linda and Bruce to take a trip to Sicily with us. I planned an 8 day trip flying into Milan and connecting to Catania, with stops in Taormina, Syracusa, Agrigento, Enna, Erice, and Palmermo. Two weeks before every trip I call the airline to confirm. When I did, the Milan leg was fine, but Alitalia told me that the Catania part had been canceled !!!!! There was no alternative for us, so we decided to switch the trip to 4 days on Lake Como at Bellagio and 4 days on Lake Maggiore at Stresa. We would then drive Linda and Bruce to the airport at Malpensa, and then Laura and I would stay in Milan Centro for a night before our flight the next day.
