Heading to the Galapagos Islands and Machu Picchu in Feb. 2012!

It is rumored that the world will end on 12/21/2012. Well, that happens to be almost 2 weeks after my birthday! So, just to be cautious I am going to visit the Galapagos Islands and Machu Picchu! I don't know if the world will end or if the Mayan calendar will reset for another 2500 years or whatever, so I want to see these two places, just in case!
The trip will be a long one but when I get to Ecuador I am getting on a small yacht and spending almost 10 days sailing around the Galapagos Islands! We will be traveling around the Islands for almost 2 weeks then we head to Peru.
In Peru we are going to acclimate to the alltitude then head up to the ancient Mayan ruins of Machu Picchu. We will also spend some time visiting some villages in the Sacred Valley. I am SOOOO EXCITED!!!
