Bienvenue and welcome to my travelogue, a cyberspace to share some of my pictures, thoughts and adventures. It was a serendipitous moment when Diane (Thompson) called to see whether I would be interested in accompanying her to Beijing for a conference... little did we know this initial trip would blossom into an around the world flight - originating from two capital cities, Ottawa and Washington, and taking us on to Beijing, Cebu (Philippines), Johannesburg, the Okavanga Delta, Savute, Kwai and Gaborone (Botswana), and for me, Cairo and the Sinai before returning home to Canada. I hope to introduce Diane to scuba diving in the Philippines... we'll see how far I get with that!
