Adders's Grand Tour
About this blog
A manic trip with my husband Ian which will see us volunteering (mainly with animals), hiking (very gentle), sight-seeing (with Ian taking photos as I am useless with a camera) and an attempt to improve my Spanish.
We will start by seeing the bits of South East Asia we've not yet been to - Peninsular Malaysia to work in a zoo, Borneo to attempt to see some wild Orangutans and experience life with a local tribe, then Laos, Vietnam and Cambodia as part of an organised tour, which is not something I have ever done before seeing as I am the world's biggest control freak so not sure how that will pan out. Next comes the gentle hiking in Tasmania and New Zealand, followed by as much of South America as I can fit in during a 5 month period without burning out - Peru to attend a Spanish language school, Ecuador for a month on the Galapagos Islands, Bolivia to see Lake Titicaca and The Salt Lakes and finally the Pantanal in Brazil in search of the elusive Jaguar.
I'll end up back in Blighty for 3 months of recuperation before going back to work. This will probably be the hardest bit of all.
