About this blog
Welcome to a travelogue of my experiences in the States. I came to America in 2002 to study for a PhD in volcanology at Michigan Tech in Houghton, Michigan. A strange place to study volcanoes you may think, but so far it has taken me to various countries through Central America, Hawaii, and most recently Argentina and Chile. I am not sure where this path is taking me, or when it will end, but I have learnt a lot so far, and there promises to be far more yet. This journal is meant for family and friends, and anyone interested.
