Europe - Style, Romance and History

It was much anticipated trip, for long we had heard of the great thnigs about Europe from everyone around us. How beautiful it was, how different it was from the rest of the world and, very importantly, how fabulous the medival art and architecture blended with mordern cities.
It took a while to narrow down on the cities to visit. London would be more of a meet the people trip, Paris was way too many tourists, flights to Prague were hard to come by. So we narrowed down to Barcelona, Rome and Venice. Barcelona, because we had heard of the fantastic lifestle, the architecture and the tapas. Rome for its history and one of the best collections of art and sculptures. Venice purely for the romance, the beauty of the canals and the essesne of a car-less city.
The planning took a while, lot of thnigs in Europe work very differently from the US, hotels are more boutique, air transport is cheaper and everythnig else is more expensive, especially with what the Euro is doing to the dollar.
