Where I stayed
Hellllooo!
21st September 2010
I'm In Darwin NT Australia and its HOT! Its like living in a Sauna! I'm currently Sat in the hostel waiting for Jonny as we have rented a Camper Van for 3days so we can take a trip to Litchfeild national park and see some crocodiles wahooo! you can swim in the waterfalls there and crocs jump out of the water, not in the same pools obv! haha! I can't wait Ive never been on a camper van road trip! Darwin is lovely, its very tropical and less like a city than I thought it was going to be, its a very new city, but really its nothing more than a party town! Its fun though!
Originally we were going to stay here for a few months and find farm work so we could qualify for our second year visa, however literally the week we got here Jonny got offered an amazing job doing photography on the Whitsunday Islands just of Airlie beach which starts on the 27th september sooooo we decided to just enjoy our time here then make our way to the Whitsundays where he will do the photography job for a month and I will start my farm work then he will join me! so all change! But thats the good thing about travelling you never know whats going to happen and plans change so quick!
Just rang Jonny, hes taking agggeesss and I've taken our chicken for the bbq out the fridge, hmmm. anyway sorry for the sidetrack...
We managed to rent an amazing apartment for a week which over looked the marina at cullen bay, it was beautiful, you could watch the sunset over the sea and the boats from the balcony! It was also a few minutes walk to Milundi beach which was really pretty, every thursday and sunday loads of people gathered to watch the sunset on the beach and enjoy the beach markets which had loads of different food! I bought an anklet and Jonny trip whip cracking, he hit himself on the head which was cool! haha sorry if you ever read this jonny I have a tendency to blab when Im writing! oops!
