Where I stayed
Aunt Janet's and Uncle Mike's House
We attempted to get out really early, and, not surprisingly, ended up getting out reasonably early. From St. Louis, we have about 6 hours of driving to get to Cincinnati, where my aunt, uncle, and cousin live. We drove straight through, with a few stops for gas and the bathroom. We entered Illinois at 10:02am, Indiana at 12:55pm, and Ohio at 3:50pm. We finally got to Cincinnati around 5:15 and got to meet my aunt and 4-year-old cousin at the pool where B was finishing his swimming lesson. We hung out at the pool for a bit, before going to the house to get settled in for the evening. We had delicious burgers for dinner, fresh from the butcher, courtesy of my uncle. Then we finished off a little birthday cake leftover from my aunt's birthday a few days ago.
I got to spend the evening catching up with my aunt and uncle and playing with the cutest 4-year-old little boy. We learned all about the characters from the movie "Cars." I got to participate in a high-speed race around the train table with "Mr. The King" and "Lightening McQueen." Unfortunately, I did not win. After chatting the evening away, we are finally hitting the hay, preparing for another early start and another full day of driving tomorrow.
