After the boat trip, I fancied some seafood again, so we cruised the restaurants on Fisherman's Wharf and settled on Isabella's, which is owned by some kind of TV celebrity chef (maybe only a celebrity in Monterey), Tena Shake.

We had 3 oysters on a half shell to share as a starter. Wow! This was the first time I'd eaten such LARGE oysters!! Nothing at all like the pathetic teeny-meeny stuff you get at Borough Market in London. These were the real deal.Massive, slimy and chewy and yummy!

For mains, Azrael had linguini with clams in a garlic and white wine broth. Very rich broth and fresh clams. The linguini could have been slightly more al-dente, for me. As for me the greedy pig, I just could not resist the Dungeness crab (since today is our last day at the fishing bay), so I ordered a whole one, baked in garlic butter. Yum yum yum yum yum!!! I'd saved most of the "whole" meats such as the claws, thinking that I could take those away if I needed to. Alas, I didn't need to as I gobbled the entire crab, more or less on my own!!! Yummyyyyy!!!! The beauty of it all is that I didn't even feel stuffed afterwards!

I'm really going to miss the crabs. But tonight.... it's back to sandwiches and crap at the campsite.
