So the day began at 5:30 in the morning, heading to Terminal C of the Tashkent Airport for my flight to Urgench and subsequent drive to Khiva.  After checking through security and lining up to get my boarding pass, i find out that the plane has been overbooked, no wait, that's not right.  The plane was double booked.  The terminal is only 10 days old and with their computers not up and running yet, they inadvertently booked two plane loads on one plane.
The waiting begins.
Having missed the first flight (7:00), some from one of the split tour groups were shuffled to a 7:30 flight under the condition their baggage arrives later that night.  Because i wanted my bag with me i waited for the new plane.  Around eleven we were take out to the plane, and lingered there for ten minutes before they directed us onto the bus and back to the terminal.  We found out it was a faulty landing gear, therefore they needed time to get us another new plane.  By noon we were back at the plane, the same plane.  "They fixed it!", the stewardess said happily.
At this point the phone calls went out from whinny Americans and Brits that were part of a large tour group.  Apparently, with all their years in avionics, they knew it to be impossible to fix a plane that quick and were outraged.  They want to drive instead.  Overhearing this thought the pilot laughed aloud.  "Drive? Okay then, we see you in Urgench tomorrow night time!"After the passengers settled down we took off for or flight on the rickety old plane and arrived, safe in Urgench two hours later.
