For the 4th of July, i decide to swing up to my buddy Dave's place located about 6 hours away at the beginning of the Amazon Basin. It gave me a chance to break out the rubber boots and machete and see something much different than the Southern Sierra of Loja. It was an unforgetable experience. Dave is involved in sevral projects such as Agriculture, health, nutrition, and ecotourism/eco-education. Dave is a REALLY smart dude. So, i learned alot, in what little time we had, including how to use my camera which i've had for 6 months. He is currently working on blazing a trail through the jungle with the intentions of using it for outdoor education and eco-tourism. I'll be planning a trip back up there to lend a hand.
