There comes a time in everyone's life where they feel like they want to accomplish something grand. This means something different to everyone. Me, I want to travel. Going to school in Tours, France will definitely be an experience. Should I be nervous? Excited? Why leave a city I love (although a little lacklustre in nightlife) to go somewhere else? Kitchener has been my home for my whole life after all. But there is something magical about this city like in every city: the way the light plays in the sky at sunrise, the way the birds sing in the morning; the country feel in a city setting. Inane beauties that seem so tiny but still fascinate me, little parts of the city that I discover everyday. Wait... Maybe it is time for a change, experience what I feel for my city in another place. After all, isn't that what travelling is all about?
Since I'm in University, a shoestring budget is what I have to work with. Luckily, my school has an agreement with the University of Tours, so I pay my school's tuition. I didn't realise how intensive the process for applying was and it's such an arduous process! The French program online makes it even more so. So much still to do and only 2 months before I leave! Visa, Passport and a plane ticket still to do. This adventure hasn't started yet and already it's a lot of work. Let's hope it gets done quickly.
