Today we left Wolwedans and I am sad! I really like Hayward and Mighty Power, they are 20 and 22 years old and are very cool. Hayward wants to be a great chef - he is already great I think! He made me special vetkoek (Afrikaans for fat cake) which is like a big round doughnut and I love them. Hayward started working when he was only six years old on his grandmother's farm and his father got killed in a car accident when he was only eight years old so he has been working ever since. Mighty Power is the oldest in his family and he is studying to be a ranger. His younger brother is named Mighty Tower - really! I think these are awesome names. Hayward speaks Nama and Mighty Power speaks Herero as their first language.

Before we left, we adopted a fairy circle, number 809, for Grandpa Sodium. It was nice to do it and I hope we can come back and see the fairy circle again soon.

We drove just a little way up the road to Little Kulala, where we are staying tonight. It is not far, but everything looks very different. We arrived during the middle of a big sandstorm - sand was blowing everywhere! The lodge is cool and we have a house that looks right out on the sand dunes. It is very, very hot here, but luckily there is a pool to cool down in. After we swam, we went out with our guide Moses to see the sunset. He showed us more plants that the Bushmen use, and ones that animals eat to get water. Jennifer, the lady at the lodge, was so nice to us and we had a great dinner under the stars before falling fast asleep.
