Having decided to do my Advanced diving course yesterday I dived at sugar wreck in the morning - a 90 metre cargo ship that sank in 2000, http://www.imagesfromunder.com/dive-asia/malaysia/the-perhentian-islands/sugar-wreck and in the afternoon did a navigation exercise and swam around a site called T3, or Terumbu Tiga http://www.imagesfromunder.com/dive-asia/malaysia/the-perhentian-islands/terumbu-tiga  these web links actually have some video of the places as I still don't have an underwater housing for my camera as they're so darned expensive! When I get a job I will save up and get one so that I'm well prepared for all future trips as I plan to complete all the diving qualifications in future, so lots of time for underwater pics.

Today we did a deep dive down to 26m where we looked at the effect on colours - red and orange totally lose colour and go a sort of brown colour, whilst the bluer end of the spectrum remains very vibrant. We also took down a water bottle that was empty except for air, which when we reached that depth was completely crushed and an egg that we cracked open and saw how the yolk just stays tightly together like a ball. This afternoon we chilled out and completed the written theory aspects of the dive training, and snoozed, and this evening I did my first night dive which was a little daunting but actually ok. I never liked going in a swimming pool with the lights off, but with 4 us, some powerful torches and a sense of adventure, it was really quite cool actually.
