11:53 On the road again... I'm actually in the luxury of a leather seated, air-conditioned bus with its own toilet, on my way direct to the airport. They said I would be 3 hours, but after my last journey I decided to leave plenty of time to reach my destination as my flight is at 6.50pm and I probably won't mind spending the day in the airport, I may even find wifi, who knows. I made myself chocolate spread sandwiches this morning and so can sit and wait for my plane to Singapore. Tonight I will be couch surfing again with Faz for a couple of nights and then will find a hostel I think. I've saved a lot in terms of accommodation in the last week so a couple more days in Singapore really seeing the sights will be grand until I head off into Malaysia which should be a lot cheaper than Indonesia has been, I have to say it has been a shock just how expensive it was, Bali I could understand, but everywhere else? Forget it! I feel re energised with the idea of going to Malaysia, especially as I'm looking forward to having one of my best friends-Scott come over in a few weeks. It's been a long time away from you my friends, I can hardly believe that nearly 8months have passed, this number when said out loud seems like an eternity, but for me, it has also gone in a flash. I feel like if I came back and went back to work at sage for example, it would be as if I'd only been gone a couple of weeks, almost like I've been in narnia and my return will be coming back out of the wardrobe into time as it was, just a I left. I expect that when I get back the reality will be quite different.

21:41 First impression of Singapore, and it's still just the airport- loads of familiar western faces, clean, modern!

22:45 Yes, its quite like hong kong with everyone on the MRT on their iPhones playing games, plugged in, aircon, clean, although many faces look of a Chinese nature but there are also a lot of Indian looking folk as well, and the indonesian look too. It must be a very multi cultural place. I certainly don't stick out like a sore thumb anymore which is a bit of a relief, I get rather self conscious being the only white face in town.

I arrived at faz and natasha's house about 20 mins before then and read my book until they arrived. It's so hot and humid that it was 11.45 and sweat was dripping off my face.
We went upstairs and had some cold water and faz gave me a map and wrote down the bus routes etc so I could get myself about whilst I'm here. After showing me round the house and giving me the house rules We folded out the sofa bed, and then all went to bed, it was 1am.
