13:33 I was meant to go Lombok today but failed to pride myself away from ubud! I set off this morning thinking I could drive as far as Danau Bratan which is where there is a beautiful temple apparently. After driving for some time with no map and just my google map it became apparent that going in a westerly direction across the country was going to difficult and much better managed perhaps by car, by someone who knows where they're going! So I changed my plan and followed the road north which brought me right up onto kintamani where Danau Batur is- the lovely lake in the crater that I came to the other day. The difference today is that the sun is shining and what I didn't see the other day was the enormous mountain that is Gunung Agung which is 9000 ft high
I also got the sorts of sunny rice terrace photos I've been waiting days to get! At last!
