18 days and only 7 and a half work days!!

Saying that there's 18 days till I fly sounds fairly distant, but the fact that I only have 7.5 more days at work before I am jobless is actually rather scary! Oh and its 6 days till my birthday as well
All kit bought? Check - yes at last I THINK I have everything I need, and if not, tough!
All Visa's Got? No - the mongolians still have it and won't answer the phone to my lovely little sister is going there in person to see if she can find it, and then take it to the Russians now that I have my documentation with all the correct information on it!
They waited until 5 days after I sent it to tell me that I needed to send a self addressed envelope, which I then did last friday, hoping to get it back at the latest yesterday but it didn't arrive. I tryed calling them yesterday, using all 6 extension numbers - visas, secretary to the ambassador, consulate etc.....NO-ONE picked up the phone. So in desperation I sent another fairly lengthy email explaining that I urgently needed it back so I could apply to the Russian embassy, and how frustrating it was not being able to get through and the only reply I got was
Dear Zoe, You can sent your siister. So, I've tasked Liz with that, and heading off to East London (not the one in Africa for all those who might think of there first) to go to the Russians.

Money Changed? No - haven't decided how much to take yet, will just have to pluck a figure from the air I imagine and ask for a random amount of Roubles and Yen
Money earnt? Yes - been selling things on ebay and trying my hardest not to spend any money on anything at all at the mo, so been finding some food in the freezer, some with far too many ice crystals on it, and also in the cuboards to eat through, but did treat myself to the cinema last night to see Tron. Luckliy I have a dirty student card and got in for £4.80 which is exceedingly good value as tickets at the trafford centre and odeon for upstanding grown ups cost over £9 now!! When did these London prices get so far north I ask you! Oh and I get my final pay on the 25th....then that's it.
Couch surfing? - Yes I've signed up for couch surfing and have arranged to meet a lady in Japan for a coffee to get to know about the city and where I should go, and I've also messaged a few other folks asking to stay, for free, in their houses. Fingers crossed I can save some money there.
Anything else I've forgotten? Not sure yet...hopefully I wont discover that half way down the road - how many times have we done that.
