After spending a few days in Surfers Paradise, we headed up the coast to Brisbane and spent the day in the city looking at the shops and walking through the parks. We walked down to the riverfront and along the botanic gardens, where we saw lizards. We also went to the Museum of Brisbane for a look around and went to a clothing exhibit of old fasioned party and wedding dresses.

We then headed up the coast to Hervey Bay via the Glass House Mountains and a kite festival at Coloum Bay, and we have booked ourselves on a trip to Fraser Island. On the way we passed a few more 'Big Things!' including a pineapple and a shell.
