Where I stayed
We are now at the edge of the Great Smokey Mountains. We have stopped at Cherokee, an indian reserve and tomorrow we will drive through the mountains (we have found free internet so have decided to keep you updated!).
Its was about a 3 hour drive from Atlanta and we had a picnic in Oconeeketee Island Park when we arrived. It was a really pretty park and everyone was playing, swimming and fishing in the river (Zoe had a paddle!).
Then we went for a drive up the mountains and found the Mingo Falls, which was 120 feet tall. It was a bit of a climb to the viewing platform! We checked out the local village at Saunee, but it was full of touristy shops. We then had a swim back at the motel and went for dinner.
Speak to you soon, Zoe and Gigs
