Yesterday stefan flew back to the states. I imagine it will be quite a different experience traveling solo but I am very excited.
This morning I flew from Milan to Prague to meet up with a new friend (through Stefan). Some first impressions: Czechs are way more organized than Italians. English is very common. Public transport is very easy to use. Compared to Italian the Czech language is grotesque sounding.
I did a nice little afternoon walk around and saw a few tourist attractions. I saw the Hradcany or Prague castle which contains the most beautiful church I've seen so far (I've seen a lot of churches so far) but that may be because I am a sucker for gothic architecture. I also spent a lot of time in the royal gardens. I saw the famous Charles Bridge or Karluv Most which was mobbed with tourists yet still beautiful and a few other places.
We'll see what tomorrow brings.
